Country music entertainer Darryl Worley continues to help Hardin countians and sick children in need through the Darryl Worley Foundation by hosting a myriad of Tennessee River Run events this summer and fall.
The big change for this year’s TRR events is the announcement of no downtown Savannah concert this fall.
A variety of other TRR events will still be held and the public is invited get out to as many of them as possible.
Friday and Saturday, Aug. 18 and Aug. 19, will feature a boat poker run at Pickwick Landing State Park. Part of the event will feature Worley performing a “Concert on the Water,” which can be heard from boats on Pickwick Lake.
“We’re continuing to hold a variety of events for people all around my home town. We have worked to refine the Tennessee River Run in ways that bring in even more for the charity, which is the bottom line,” said Worley.
The Darryl Worley Foundation, a 501c3 public benefit corporation, has existed since 2002 to serve people in the Mid-South. It directly helps individuals in need and serves others through nonprofits, including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center and Darryl Worley Cancer Treatment Center.
